Getting Here
Because we are 5 minutes drive from the nearest ski lifts, it is adviseable to have a car to fully enjoy your stay at Chalet Champlain.
Most people from the UK drive or fly and hire a car at the airport.
Alternatively you can use the Eurostar from London which comes through to Bourg St Masurice and hire a car here.
Chalet Champlain is 2.5 hours drive from Geneva airport and a little closer to Lyon Satelas.
Chambery and Grenoble airports are 1.5 hours away respectively.
In the summer there is the option of flying to Turin and driving over the Col Petit St Bernard though don't try this in the winter as it is closed.
The chalet is approximately 9 hours drive from Calais or Zeebruge. Driving through France we would recommend going to Lyon and then Chambery, Albertville, Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice.
If coming from Geneva the best route is via Annecy joining the N90 at Albertville and on to Bourg St Maurice..
Directions from Bourg St Maurice
In Bourg St Maurice you pass the train station on your right and go straight accross the station roundabout (second exit). 1 Km further is another roundabout and you take the second exit signposted to Seez. Just as you are leaving Seez fork right for Val d'Isere, D902, and after 4.7 Km turn right signposted Bonneville over a small bridge. Drive through the village of Bonneville and start climbing and after 4 hairpin bends you come to a T junction. Turn left here and 100 metres later turn sharp right still going uphill, signposted Le Ronaz and Planchamp. Follow this narrow road for 1 Km and 2 hairpins you come into the hamlet of Planchamp. Chalet Champlain is the large chalet on the left after the chapel. It should take you no more than 15 minutes from Bourg.
